Your Content Goes HereYou have a couple of different options to file a complaint. First, you can go to the Village Services tab, click the permits tab and finally click on the complaint form. You may e-mail the completed form to clerkvos@gpcom.net or mail to P.O. Box 277 Sutherland, NE 69165. Or you can pick up a complaint form at the Village Municipal Office, 1200 1st Street. Please keep in mind that all of the information on a complaint form is public information and the complaint form must be signed.
If you spot a stray dog it should be reported to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (308) 532-2468. If you are able to contain the dog on private property, immediately contact the Village Municipal Office at (308) 386-4721 to request an animal control officer to pick the dog up. If you request to have a dog picked up, you will be required to fill out an animal complaint form. Keep in mind that small animal traps are available by request.
Contact the Village Municipal Office to request an application or contact any Fire Department member. The Village will contact the Fire Chief to inform him/her of your interest. The Fire Chief will then contact the potential applicant. Once an application is submitted it will go before the Executive Committee of the Fire Department and they will conduct an interview with the applicant. The Fire Departments’ Executive Committee will forward a recommendation at the Fire Department’s next regularly scheduled meeting and the Fire Department members will vote. If the Fire Department approves the application they will forward a recommendation on to the Board of Trustees for final approval.
Submit a letter of intent with your contact information to the Village Office indicating which Board you are interested in joining. The Clerk will forward the letter of intent on to the appropriate Board for consideration. There are currently openings on many of the Boards so if you are interested in more information, please contact the Village Office.
To file for an elected position on the Board of Trustees please file at the Lincoln County Court House at (308) 534-4350, 301 N. Jeffers North Platte, Nebraska. The filing deadlines for the 2016 election year are: Incumbents July 15th and Non-Incumbents August 1st.
